Amida is currently looking for a Mid-Level UCD/HCD (User-Centered Design, Human-Centered Design) Design Engineer to join our team in Washington DC. In this role, you will be focused on conducting product design research, application feature conceptualization, and process documentation for Amida's medical data evaluation software. You will join a product design team to produce concepts for a next-generation platform for evaluating medical data within legal contexts. This role will be responsible for aiding in the research, discovery, implementation, and testing of system interface designs and enhancements. Work will include interviews, observation, and collaborative design engagement with end-users, and subject matter experts in the fields of law and medicine. This role will produce user-engagement documentation and HCD research collateral, identify concepts and refine specifications for the implementation of new system functionality (in partnership with a team of UI designers), and validate the design of novel enhancements with end-users and subject matter experts. Our team is working to provide meaningful enhancements to complex processes through automation, the incorporation of Natural Language Processing, and the development of a modern, accessible system interface.
