GoTab is looking for a creative problem-solving, tenacious and motivated individual to join our Engineering team as a Deployment Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for post-sales, pre-installation consulting with clients to plan and execute deployment of GoTab hardware and software on-site at customer locations. In addition to possessing the technical skills listed below, you must be able to think proactively about the unique scenarios of each installation site, communicate effectively with clients, and think on your feet to solve unanticipated problems without getting flustered. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient with networking technologies, have some experience with software development and/or configuration, and have previous experience in the hospitality industry.
The Deployment Engineer role, by its nature, requires on-site visits with clients, and therefore requires local travel. You will be expected to adhere to CDC-recommended safety protocols, including wearing of face coverings, maintaining social distancing when visiting clients on site, and frequent personal sanitization.
This role, currently, is a combination of installation and maintenance of GoTab hardware and second-tier tech support for that hardware. It will be both technical and customer-facing.

As a Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of deploying GoTab hardware, including, but not limited to:Provisioning customer-purchased devices with GoTab softwareShipping devices to provided locations Performing installation of hardware on the client network remotely (with non-technical, on-site client representatives) as well as in-person individuallyTesting hardware to ensure proper functionality
You will assist the Customer Success Team with technical troubleshooting on GoTab hardware, including Point of Sale (POS) Terminals, networked and serial/USB printers, GoTab Printer Routers and handheld payment terminals.
