Role Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Citrix System Administrator to join our Department of Defense (DoD) program team at the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO). CESO operates and maintains the infrastructure that facilitates the distribution of compartmented classified information across the Defense and Intelligence communities. Beyond providing IT support and services to over 6000 current customers, CESO is also committed to the continued advancement and modernization of their platforms as they prepare to scale to over 15,000 customers. This investment in innovation is key to ensuring they can deliver user-friendly services while efficiently and securely delivering the critical intelligence that their customers need to succeed in their missions.
As the Senior Citrix System Administrator, you’ll lead the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure including business and production systems, physical servers, virtualization, disaster recovery, Citrix, as well as Cloud engineering services. You’ll also be responsible for providing Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and technical support for the customer, IT-related training, and troubleshooting of issues related to software, hardware, devices, servers, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, manage, and troubleshoot the Citrix systems, networks and other infrastructure required to support the program and its customers
  • Provide technical guidance, execution, and direction for the design and implementation of Citrix systems to support the enterprise architecture strategy
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting, analysis and maintenance of enterprise cloud and infrastructure systems
  • Establishing and maintaining network users accounts, user environment, directories, and security modules
  • Collect and analyze network and system performance/utilization information
  • Produce reports and documentation demonstrating performance or compliance with policy and system security requirements
  • Ensure IT hardware, software, and networking equipment are managed and maintained in accordance with processes, procedures, guidelines, and instructions

  • Specialized Experience
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Current 8570 IAT Level II (i.e., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE); or ability obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Current AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner; or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
  • 10 years of experience supporting Citrix-based and related virtualized environments and infrastructure
  • Ability to Implement and support Citrix XenApp multiple environments.
  • Ability to shape and support NetScaler as well as Access Gateway solutions to support the scalable release of applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory including OU design and administration, GPOs, and VMWare

  • Tech/Tools/Protocols Stack
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and using AWS technologies, such as AWS Command Line (AWSCLI), Amazon Machine images (AMI), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Services (S3), Elastic Block Storage, and/or Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
  • SAN technologies, Citrix/Terminal Services, and SAML tokens (Signal Sign-on)
  • Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and Netscaler ADC
  • CloudFormation, GitHub, Jira, Ansible
  • Scripting using Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.
