The Manager, Customer Marketing will develop, support, and coordinate schools-based events for EVERFI customers in the Sports & Entertainment industry in addition to managing program specific social media handles. The Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of large, high-profile events including logistical preparation, vendor management, celebrity talent management, and other tasks needed to deliver high quality and creative events across the country. The Manager will own communication with both internal and external stakeholders including keeping all stakeholders informed of the event vision and logistics.


  • Assist in the planning and execution of innovative student-facing events (both in-person and virtual) to help key EVERFI customers engage with schools, teachers, and students in a meaningful way.  
  • Support and coordinate all operational activities needed to prepare and execute events in adherence with events protocols for EVERFI. 
  • Establish content calendar and cadence of social media posts and build a repository of content, resources, and assets for program specific handles
  • Optimize content and strategy by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  • Manage celebrity talent to include pre-event briefing, creation of event script,  and serving as the main point of contact
  • Developing event specific runs-of-show including ordering catering, coordinating and briefing necessary on-site staff, and arranging travel and accommodations for event attendees
  • Secure speaking points from speakers prior to the event as well as creating speaking points or event scripts, where necessary
  • Setting up and monitoring event registration pages as well as coordinating student engagement activities
  • Travel to events, coordinate the set-up, and manage vendors on event day
  • Create processes to track progress of each event against objectives, budgets, and set timelines.
  • Communicate with and keep internal and external stakeholders informed of event vision, program, and logistics.
  • Secure and negotiate proposals from vendors i.e. photographers, A/V rental, etc.
  • Track invoices post events to ensure timely reconciliation of event-related expenses to budgets.
  • Recommend solutions and ideas to enhance event planning, logistics and increase cost efficiencies.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 3+ years of  event planning, project management, or other relevant experience
  • Experience managing virtual events on event hosting platforms (Zoom, Google, etc.)
  • Experience in the Sports & Entertainment Industry is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible work hours including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends to support special event needs
  • Strong attention to details and superior prioritization skills
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and resourceful
  • Ability to adapt communication to varying audiences
  • Proactive and flexible
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast paced team
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Ability to frequently stand and move office equipment/furniture, and to regularly lift equipment and supplies up to 35 pounds at event venues
