EVERFI’s K12 Product Managers reach nearly 5 million students and 25,000 schools across the US and beyond with impactful digital courses in critical life skills areas like personal finance, healthcare, socio-emotional learning, and digital literacy. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the product development of a high priority Early Literacy app that aims to teach all K-2 learners to read. This is a high visibility product and a great opportunity for growth.  

As a Product Manager, you’ll typically do the following:

  • Understand customer needs, analyze proposed product requirements, assess implementation potential, and  product market fit for school districts and teachers.
  • Work closely across functional teams like content, design, and engineering to execute and manage project deliverables for product development and course enhancements through the product's life cycle, including execution of product vision and roadmap, and delivery to end-users.
  • Manage a number of vendor relationships to supplement the work of our internal teams.
  • Prioritize product features, backlog and organize release timeline with project management.
  • Tap into our large network of teachers, learners, and experts to conduct market, user and feedback analysis to inform product requirements.
  • Ensure that app requirements work within platform architecture and any new functionality is clearly defined and planned, including any integration or enhancements with the early literacy digital course that will be built alongside this app.
  • Contribute to product line communications and development of K-12 marketing materials and launch plan by providing source data and course information to drive product demand.

This is what we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years of product management experience, preferably in software development organizations
  • Experience with gaming app development and working with 3rd party vendors  highly preferred
  • Experience with business analysis, product requirements, use cases and user stories
  • Familiarity with younger audiences; K-12 ed tech and literacy experience a plus
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, SCRUM preferred
  • Experience with ticket management system (JIRA) and Productboard (or similar) preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner and adjust to quickly changing priorities
