We’re looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join our Department of Defense (DoD) program team at the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO). CESO operates and maintains the infrastructure that facilitates the distribution of compartmented classified information across the Defense and Intelligence communities. Beyond providing IT support and services to over 6000 current customers, CESO is also committed to the continued advancement and modernization of their platforms as they prepare to scale to over 15,000 customers. As the Oracle Database Administrator, you’ll lead capacity planning, evaluation of database server hardware and serve as the subject matter expert for the team. You’ll lead the team through the planning, installation, configuration, design, and data migration activities in support of the program. You’ll also have a hands-on role, support the program and it’s customers with troubleshooting, performance monitoring, security, and data backup & recovery.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI Responsibilities Establish, manage, and troubleshoot the Oracle database systems, networks and other infrastructure required to support the program and its customers Design, build, configure, and manage Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments Develop scripts (e.g. Bash, Python, etc.) to increase automation and efficiency of database backup, recovery and monitoring Perform database change requests and work closely with Oracle or other third-party vendor support to debug issues and apply solutions Manage daily activities of the database (stored procedures, triggers, backups/restore, report generation, and data import/export for Oracle, Monto, and PostgreSQL using native adapters to include ODBC and JDBC Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations Lead and support the planning, implementation, integration, and operation of a virtualization strategy to include database server consolidation, storage consolidation, automation, etc. Specialized Experience Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance Current 8570 IAT Level II (i.e., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE); or ability obtain within 90 days of hire Current AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner; or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire 10 years of experience supporting Linux-based, Windows-based and virtualized environments and infrastructure Expertise in process, management and resolution of all event, warning, alert, as well as alarm messages Tech/Tools/Protocols StackOracle Data Guard, Oracle Goldengate, Advanced Queuing, Real Application Cluster (RAC) and Oracle Enterprise Manager CloudFormation, GitHub, Jira, Ansible Scripting using Python, Bash, Ruby, etc. Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and using AWS technologies, such as AWS Command Line (AWSCLI), Amazon Machine Images (AMI), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Services (S3), Elastic Block Storage, and/or Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
