We’re looking for a Windows Subject Matter Expert/Senior Systems Admin to join our Department of Defense (DoD) program team at the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO). CESO operates and maintains the infrastructure that facilitates the distribution of compartmented classified information across the Defense and Intelligence communities. Beyond providing IT support and services to over 6000 current customers, CESO is also committed to the continued advancement and modernization of their platforms as they prepare to scale to over 15,000 customers. As the Windows Subject Matter Expert/Senior Systems Admin you’ll provide technical leadership to a team supporting mission-critical infrastructure, networks and desktop computing services. You’ll partner with the other tech leads to champion a rigorous security posture and guide the team through the architecture and implementation of new or enhanced services and policies. The Windows Subject Matter Expert/Principal Systems Engineer will also have a hands-on role in assisting the customer support teams in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI Responsibilities Assist the support teams by troubleshooting or debugging escalated customer issues and provide fixes as needed Manage high-priority customer support issues, conducting intake and advisory services as well as hands-on execution of identified solutions. Package, test, maintain and monitor applications and their operating systems including coordinating the installation of applications Produce reports and documentation demonstrating performance or compliance with policy and system security requirements Develop Microsoft PowerShell scripting to perform software packaging, enterprise data queries, and sequenced operations across enterprise systems Perform secure baseline image creation, testing, and deployment for multiple hardware configurations Research, test, and deploy security patches and vulnerability mitigation and remediation configuration changes Specialized Experience Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance Current 8570 IAT Level II certification; or ability obtain within 90 days of hire 10 years of experience supporting Linux-based or related virtualized environments and infrastructure Demonstrated subject matter expertise in developing and maintaining a highly secure posture in Windows environments Tech/Tools/Protocols StackVMware VCenter, in addition to Windows 10 OS and Microsoft Office (2019 and 365) ESXi hosts, building/upgrading/patching VMWare clusters and VMWare performance tuning/troubleshooting Windows Deployment Services, System Center Configuration Manager, SCOM, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Windows 2016, and Windows 10 Windows Server & associated infrastructure (such as Active Directory and Group Policies)
