Marketing Manager, EU Issue Tracker

About the Position
FiscalNote is looking for an entrepreneurial, creative, and growth-driven marketer based in Brussels, to help accelerate awareness and sales of its EUIT product. The marketing manager will be a strong all-rounder, willing to roll up their sleeves across multiple marketing functions, from product and content marketing, to demand generation, brand awareness, and events.

They will work closely with the Business Development, Product, Customer Service, and EU Policy Analyst teams, as well as the rest of the core Marketing team to ensure consistency and strength of execution on all marketing initiatives. They will develop and put into place the marketing strategy that brings the greatest attention to the EUIT product, including managing external positioning and messaging, creating materials for sales enablement, fueling demand generation funnels, and updating the website.

Quickly becoming an expert in our products, personas, market, customer needs and competition, the Marketing Manager will execute on differentiating and building pipeline for EUIT across the EU, and internationally.

You’re insanely detail-oriented and have a proven track record of creating buzz around an existing or new product, bringing it from blah to brilliant. You understand your products and personas inside and out, and can tactfully craft messaging to entice both prospective and current customers to leverage EUIT in their day-to-day work. You derive immense joy in creating MQLs, positioning products ahead of any other solution, and demonstrating every value proposition. Your strong generalist marketing background means you have an understanding and willingness to take on what needs to be done across teams in order to help your product win in the marketplace.

What To Expect In This Position:
  • A bias for action and a passion for building the biggest possible targeted audience for your product
  • Planning, driving and executing on go-to-market strategies to drive awareness and leads to EUIT
  • Creating and managing content and product marketing, including thought leadership, collateral, sales tools and presentations, competitive intelligence, conference materials, etc.
  • Collaborating with the entire Brussels team and the core FiscalNote Marketing team to create and execute integrated marketing plans across channels, and grow the business from awareness to adoption through engagement (partnering with digital, brand, product marketing etc.)
  • Owning product and competitive positioning, and product launches
  • Working closely with the Product and Business Development teams to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages; identifying, prioritizing, and launching product modifications and additions to improve customer satisfaction, revenue, and retention
  • Planning and executing demand generation campaigns to drive MQLs for your product, (with guidance from the demand generation team)
  • Building awareness and creating content through events, webinars, ebooks, whitepapers, blogs, video, etc to drive attention and fuel the demand generation funnels
  • Partnering with Business Development management to communicate the value proposition of the products to the Business Development team and develop product collateral for all audiences including, toolkits, FAQs, case studies, one-sheets, and other product collateral as needed
  • Understanding how EUIT fits into the differentiation of FiscalNote the company, and how its suite of products complements and elevates EUIT in the marketplace - and vice versa
  • Establishing and maintaining a marketing relationship with key customers who are willing to act as references for case studies, speaking events, and video testimonials
  • Understanding customer needs, product roadmap, market trends, to inform product messaging that differentiates EUIT across segments

  • 5+ years experience in a general marketing role, preferably at a B2B SaaS organization
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills
  • Degree in marketing, business, or another related field
  • Experience successfully executing significant growth for at least one existing or new product that resulted in significant revenue generation
  • Past experience creating product marketing tools that have accelerated the sales cycle or improved conversion rates
  • Commercial and public sector marketing experience in the EU is a plus
