Siemens Government
Technologies IT organization is looking for a dynamic Senior IT Manager with a
strong business acumen reporting directly to the CIO. The Senior IT Manager
position is a hands on role which involves managing a
multidisciplinary IT team and working collaboratively with internal and
external parts of the organization to include Applications, Cyber Security and Business
development.

As a
part of the Technology team the Senior IT manager is responsible for
maintenance of the internal infrastructure which includes Service Desk, Cloud
and On-Premise systems. Additionally, the Manager will work with CIO on
business development initiatives which include leading IT initiatives in new business capture
and pursue activities; assist multi-discipline and/or cross-functional teams in
proposal preparation activities.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Manage Operations team of the IT Department to include the
    Service Desk, Cloud and On-prem Systems, PMO and Networking teams.

  • Oversee internal projects and chair the IT PMO organization.

  • Work with the CIO on business development and outside sales
    initiatives.

  • Develop and implement functional policies and procedures for
    operations to include COOP and DR plans for ISO certification.

  • Work with the Cyber team to ensure security is baked into the
    technology stack.

  • Manage the development, testing, deployment, monitoring,
    maintenance, upgrades and support of IT desk side systems, including
    workstations, software, mobile devices, wireless networks and associated
    hardware.

  • Manage the testing and patch management of all desk side
    software applications for security vulnerabilities.

  • Develop departmental budgets, business case justifications
    and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

  • Recommend and/or approve purchase of equipment and supplies
    in order to meet operational requirements of the business.

  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the
    improvement and growth of end-user IT systems.

  • Manage the response to all IT outages for mission critical
    and mission important systems, including proper escalation and timely
    notification of management of the issues.

  • Provide the necessary technical expertise and
    writing support to develop customized solutions to support a variety of
    proposals.

Education and/or
Experience

The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Bachelors
    degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline;
    Masters preferred.

  • Ten + (10)
    years of IT experience.

  • Significant
    experience in a management and supervisory role in the government
    contractor space.

  • Experience writing proposal technical volumes.

  • Progressively
    responsible professional level related IT experience including project
    management and evaluation, and acquisition of software applications.

  • Experience
    in leading cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and
    key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex
    contexts.

  • Solid
    technical infrastructure experience including cloud deployment such a AWS
    and AZURE.

  • Considerable
    knowledge of LAN/WAN, hardware and software products and project
    management techniques and processes.

  • Demonstrated
    ability to effectively lead a team to continuously improve performance and
    to achieve desired results.

  • Excellent
    analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and
    execution skills.

  • Strong
    business acumen with knowledge of the public sector.

  • · Candidate must be a United
    States Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government
    Security Clearance.
