Job Description

Higher Logic is seeking a Jr. QA Automation Engineer to develop automation tests and grow our automation framework. As part of our automation team, this individual will use automation testing practices and tools to help support our engineering projects.


  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java to identify defects and certify new and old features.
  • Configure and manage automated test builds.
  • Identify and report quality issues using Jira.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA members across multiple teams to resolve product issues and identify the scope of testing.
  • Monitor test results for different automated builds in TeamCity and AWS Device Farm.
  • Provide automated testing support and guidance for scrum teams.
  • Participating in code reviews, automation planning meetings and demos.


  • Automation testing experience using Java or C# is a plus.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
  • Experience with or solid understanding of software testing, including knowledge of testing phases and approaches.
  • Experience with or solid understanding of defining bugs/defects and issue tracking tools, such as JIRA.
  • BS/BA degree or related experience in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary software quality assurance processes, test automation practices, and automated tools.
